Digital Bonds -
Real Connections!
In this blog I explore the connections I have made online through coaching programmes over the last year, the true friendships that have formed online and what they all have in common
"Digital spaces aren't replacing human connection—they're expanding our capacity to connect meaningfully."
I will be the first to admit I shy away from selling my online courses it as I fear that customers will equate online classes to the zoom fatigue experienced during covid.
In the last month, I have realised something powerful: meaningful connections aren't about physical proximity—they're about genuine engagement. I never really knew the value of my online work until I met people from the programs I had been in in person and realised how much I regarded them as friends. I now know that the connections created can be just as meaningful.
In the last 6 weeks, I have attended 3 events for programmes I have been enrolled in to help my business and personal growth and each one I have come away feeling completely uplifted and filled with love from people I had only met online before. The connections are authentic and real.
The first event I attended was an in person coaching day with Charlotte Carter. Within her programs I have learned to own my purpose, ‘Do the thing’ by decluttering things physically and mentally which have been holding me back, reset my money mindset and get over my fear of visibility!
This was a space where I could be vulnerable and get real about the challenges I was facing in my personal and business life and these ladies were like a mirror helping me to recognise things I sometimes didn’t want to see and helping me to navigate through them.
I could not have done these things without the support of the other ladies within the container. We supported each other not only on our weekly calls but in the Facebook group and later, in WhatsApp group which meant support was always in my pocket.
The second event was a fabulous Village Visionary event in London where I met up with others who had been enrolled on the Village Visionary program.
In this program, we are all building on our baby businesses through training in baby massage & yoga, baby confidence, colic and sleep consultancy etc. We all recognise that we bring our own unique styles to our baby classes and blossom and berry embrace this individuality within our businesses. At this event, 6 of us bravely took to the stage and shared our vision for the future, starting with supporting the parents and families we work with.
Prior to the event I had only met these ladies online at training and supervision sessions and again in the Facebook group where we shared our ideas and experiences with each other, but we were tremendous support to each other before, during and after the event.
The third event was an in-person business strategy day to consolidate the learning within this program. The program built our business knowledge, finding our soul clients, defining our message and building the technical knowledge to get our message out to our customers. The participants were from different countries, backgrounds, and professional disciplines. Our only connection? Soul led businesses!
We all contributed to the chat in the Facebook group and regularly in zoom rooms during the live training building trust and relationships.
The things all of these in person days had in common…
When I arrived at all of these in person days, I immediately felt in the company of good friends.
Everyone was authentic, we had mutual respect, a willingness to be vulnerable and to get to know and understand each other. In each program, this positive energy transformed superficial interactions into potential long-term professional relationships. We weren't just exchanging contact information—we were building a community and a support system for each other.
I have thought about what all these programmes I have participated in had in common and how the participants contributed to the groups and here’s what I come up with:-
✨They are all groups filled with like minded people
✨The facilitators created a group where participants felt safe to share
✨The participants felt listened to and understood
✨The participants had a space to throw ideas around between zoom calls
I did feel quite chuffed that my online classes offer all of this!
My most significant revelation..
Digital spaces aren't replacing human connection—they're expanding our capacity to connect meaningfully. Every digital platform is just a tool. The magic happens when we choose vulnerability, curiosity, and genuine engagement.
I would love to connect with you!!
With Love,
